According to the transaction report, the commissioner modified my roster and removed one of my players and replaced him with someone I want nothing to do with. I just dumped that player. If this is the way things are, I'd like to get back the player (Mike Bell (RB)) I moved out to make room for the player that was pilfered from me.

1st of all, I changed the title of the thread because it seems as if you're making an accusation with inquiring first.
2nd of all, the player involved is Mike Bell, definitely not a player someone is going to do something illegal for.
3rd, I get requests through the week and several once Sunday arrives on adding & dropping players, among other things.
When processing these requests for players, a page with all players on a team pops up with their team. A drop down list is there to click on to highlight any of the other 50 teams in the leagues if you want to change something on their team.
Well, guess who's team is always first?
Yours because of alphabetical order.
There have been times when I get a request from another team to do something to their roster, and your team is the first on the page to pop up, I have simply forgotten to click on the drop down list to go to the other team.
I have caught myself doing this in the past & luckily went back & corrected it, which Im sure you may have noticed on the transaction list if you noticed it this time.
This time I obviously didn't.
Now I see Mike Bell is the guy in question.
How did your roster stand before this?
And lastly, I must address that it seems you are abusing the IR system & placing guys on injured reserve simply to not have to drop them & keep extra players.

If you look at "Reports" -> "Transactions", I think mine should be the first team you see.
You'll see that a few days ago I picked up Alex Smith (QB). To do this I did some maneuvering with the IR and released Mike Bell (RB). When I looked at my roster today I no longer had Alex Smith and somehow I had Jake Delhomme. According to the transactions, the commissioner made this change late last night.

I'll try and clear up any confusion. I looked at my roster today and saw Jake Delhomme there and Alex Smith gone. Logically I tried to figure out how this happened and saw that it was done by the commissioner. Regardless of whether this was deliberate or not, it was done without my knowledge. I have no problem with the thread title being changed.
Anyway, I wondered if this was done deliberately and if so, I'd prefer to get the player that I originally dropped to pick up Alex Smith back.
As far as manipulating the IR, I never saw any rule that states a player must be injured to be put there. Since the software allows any roster spot to be moved there, I assume that all moves regarding the IR are legitimate. If that's not the case, I'd like to know exactly how it's to be used. I know on Yahoo (for baseball or hockey), a player has to be designated by Yahoo as eligible for the DL or IR.
I've had Vince Young for a couple of weeks in the anticipation that he'll end up starting. The roster originally had a QB (Brady) on the IR so I could have 3 on the active roster. When I picked up Alex Smith it gave me the chance to delay a decision on which of the two to keep. Right now I'm not sure if it's kosher to put one my QBs on the IR.
Anyway, to make matters simple, I'll release Vince Young and you can install Alex Smith back to my roster.
